Sons of Orar: Hobby Blog #1

Here's a few quick snaps of some of the marines so far.

I decided to add a little artistic flare to the army by doing painting the Omega on the front of the siege shield of the vindicators. I have always wanted to do a vehicle with an off-center logo on for fun, and it came out pretty cool!

Next are a few tactical terminators, probably my favorite Space Marine models, so i had to grab a pack of them for my army. They remind me off a when I first played Marines.

Last up are the 20 Tactical Marines, a bit repetitive to paint but they look snazzy when they're done. I have some close up of some of my favorite models of the group, 2 sergeants with combi-plasmas, and two standard bolter marines. They still need some attention to details and some osl on the plasmas, but I was really proud of the skin on the left sergeant. I thought it came out much better then the sickly pale looking faces I usually end up painting. Some might argue that having helmets on all day might do that to you though...

Thanks for reading guys, and don't forget to follow the blog if you like the content! Ill be back soon with Land Speeders, Drop Pods, Sternguard and More!

A New Beginning...

Hey guys whats up!

My name is Michael and I'm currently a senior in high school, but more importantly I'm and avid miniature painter and 40k player. I have been playing 40k on and off  for the past 8 years due to the closing and reopening of the few gaming stores in my area. Fortunately in the past few years several large stores have opened and finally acquired quite the following.

With this blog I hope to show off some miniatures as I build (or re-build) my armies. As you might have guessed by the blog name, I play Sons of Orar and occasionally Tau. since I have started, I have played Necrons, Eldar, Tyranids, Blood Angels, Tau and Vanilla Marines. If "The Valiant Legacy" doesn't ring a bell... its the one relic we Sons of Orar have: A Storm Shield. In the future I hope to model it for my army!

That's enough for now, and don't forget to follow my Blog if your intrested
